Cherry orchards blanket the landscape in many areas of the Door County peninsula of Wisconsin. For a few brief weeks each May they erupt in tapestry of white blossoms. From a photographer's perspective, the goal is to simplify all the clutter to create an interesting but clean composition. By focusing on this interestingly shaped tree and leaving the background slightly out of focus, I tried to achieve just that. The final image conveys a "Cheery Start" to the coming growing and tourist season.
