As I travel about, I often ask others for advice on good shooting locations. Sometimes I get good advice, sometimes not so much. Everyone has their own view of things and sees things differently. So how do I find places to photograph? Mostly just by traveling around and looking to see what catches my eye. How many lakes have I seen? Minnesota has thousands. I haven't seen them all, but have seen quite a few. This spot on Pelican Lake has always appealed to me. Add some dramatic clouds and it made for a great start to a "New Day."
